1. He clearly has the goods on Dilip, but his wife Kiran has the goods on him.

Dilip wants him close by to make sure he doesn’t get dimed out (keep your friends close and your enemies closer), but his wife probably wants to keep him banished to the US.
It’s a stalemate, but the wife has the edge bc she can probably take them both down.

He’s not still here because of Ilumya, or the opth or derm business performancei. How in the world could he feel halfway decent about himself- he’s been a complete failure in the U.S. and people just laugh at him.
