Why Forest is the joke of Pharma

Im sorry but I had to come on here and post. Have you every noticed that Forest ALWAYS has the most people logged on and viewing CP out of all the company threads? Especially during the DAY when people should be working!?

I have never seen a company bashed day in and day out like yours. Its hilarious and pathetic at the same time. And its rarely about something meaningful like, "our drugs suck" or "our drugs are too expensive" - its always about how the company is shitting on its employees from the top down. How HR could care less about you. How your ex jock and ex prom queen former Enterprise rent a car managers whip you to no end and put you on PIP's to get you to quit - even with stellar numbers. Its mind numbing.

Ill give you an example of why reps and doctors think you are a joke.
1. You promote douchebag reps after a year and turn them into bigger douchebag managers.
2. You motivate by using fear.
3. You churn and burn your salesforce through so much turnover that doctors laugh when the next young "just out of training" asswipe comes in and asks him or her the same question your former rep did two years ago. And, the doc most likely finally liked the former rep!
4. Your reps OPENLY complain about your managers and company to anyone and everyone who will listen - including other reps and doctors! Big Mistake!

The list goes on and on......

For instance: I live in the Chicagoland area, worked for the same Pharma company and had the same territory for the last 11 years and I have known 8 or 9 former and current reps for your company throughout that time. They have ALL (at one time or another) sat in a waiting room with me and made small talk about how they hate Forest and/or their manager - especially some lady in Chicago named Denise whom I have heard horror stories about and that I am DYING to meet in person some day (so I can see in person the woman so many reps openly loathe and bash with no regard whatsoever for her management skills and overall horrible demeanor). I am amazed this woman is still employed with Forest just based on the number of people (in your own company) that hate her with a passion. Its crazy!

Again - its hilarious and oh so sad at the same time.

I just wanted to say I feel for you good Forest reps out there. Get a new gig quick. You will sleep better at night im sure.

Forest Board of Directors: Get a freaking clue. Your foundation is weak because you enable your management to foster it. Time for a change. You should reach out the the top performers who walked away or were forced out and ask them what went wrong. You might just learn something.

Forest managers: Thank you. Thank you for berating your employees so badly that they hate working and making money for you. It keeps my market share humming along at peak performance.

This is a Forest rep. Probably one who works for this Denise. No one else would spend this kind of time on this crap. For instance, I know a ton of Pfizer reps who hate their job and manager. I don't give enough of a crap to go to the Pfizer board and author a book about it.

It starts with EH and "crap" flows down hill from there. Incest is the problem, Executive Directors are dumb as rigs but you cant get thsm out. No serious Marketers want to work there so they keep promoting morons. In sales, the really decent people move out as soon as they can, so what you have left are losers. Isn't changing til the old man dies.
 






Bravo! You are dead on the money my friend. A dysfunctional culture like this does not form at the middle. Remove EH from the equation and you might be able to fix this broken corporation. Until then things will only get worse as her power and sense of self importance grows. If you saw Howard at the launch meeting it's pretty clear that he's not firing on all cylinders. He's too attached to EH to do the right thing and put her out of our misery. Unfortunately it will take his demise to bring about any real change.

EH is a start, but when she leaves she is so rich it wiulol not matter. She is a social climber and cares only about being seen at the right event. The rest of her reports are butt kissers, Yes Elaine, No Elaine, Yes Elaine--you are so right Elaine---if you disagree, you are gone. From Executive Director up in NY, mindless lemmings who have zero personality, low skill and fewer brains

so true!!! glad i am not the only one who feels that way! I have no death wish on HS....he has been very good to me over the years. But EH - I have no idea what he see in her....never in all my years have I understrood what he sees in her....
 






EH is about ego, control. Wish Ken Goodman fired her before he left.
If EH goes then its Jerry & Gerard....does anyone leading us have a masters or history of success outside forest. Inbread corporate culture hinders innovation.
 






One reason so many of us are on here is that our logical, rational, evidence based brains are looking for something-ANYTHING!-to help us understand why the execs and management are turning the company into a laughingstock and electing caveman style management.
 






No offense, but all the Pharma companies are the laughing stock to the device companies. I was in Pharma....it sucks...we were all looked down upon. Don't sit around waiting for the next round of layoffs. It's only going to get worse. If you are a true salesman you could get a job in the industry.
 
























I am a Forest rep, IN CHICAGO, and I will clarify one thing: I dont work for DL but she is hands down, EVERYTHING people say about her on this website. For REAL. Never been one nice thing said about this woman. Reps have complained and gone to HR for years now about her. What most people dont know is that her husband is somehow connected to AA the RD - therefore ensuring her job security throughout any scandal. DL shoul dhave been fired long ago. This company blows so Im gonna ride it til they blast me and then suck on the unemployment for a while til I get a real job. Sorry taxpayers!

I thank my lucky stars that I didn't join forest and had another opportunity to move on. You guys still have room mates during meetings? $25 per day meal allowance when traveling? That was the standard 20 years ago! Clearly the management must be fairly unless and desparate to have chosen to work for Forest. They probably don't have any other options.

$25 meal allowance, funny as hell. Wonder if that pertains to marketing. That was a per diem for just lunch years ago.
