why didn't we strike?

it seems like this was the only thing that could have saved B&L, a concerted effort by employees to shut the company down would have been easy to accomplish and it would have destroyed all of the value of the place and forced valeant to back off. maybe it's not even too late for that, now that everyone knows what's coming? and if nothing else, maybe the next company act like lambs lining up and sitting by for the slaughter once an acquisition is announced.

Is their a union? I dont think you can strike without a union...why you may ask? because we are at will employees. they would just fire us for cause...no unemployment and we would make valeant's job that much easier...

Damn, your stupid! Where were you in 8th grade Civics Class??

Completely agree with the original post in principle.

If we all walked out on the same day at the same time, we could cripple the acquisition. A movement of that magnitude would force Valeant to slam on the brakes and provide B&L with no alternative but to hire us back to get the business running again.

Unfortunately in practice corporate employees are hyper-individualistic and are not willing to risk their severance while the manufacturing employees are probably not on this site. It would be nearly impossible to create a holistic effort due to differing ideologies and a lack of a communication channel.
