Twenty years ago Galderma management believed with a little marketing, drugs sold themselves, and a dog with a note in its mouth could be a pharma rep or DM. Today, the philosophy seems to be the same. And so, they hire the cheapest "dog," and then train the snot out of him/her to be just as cookie-cutter-like as the rest of 'em. If they ever had the guts to break this business-plan and sincerely hire reps and DMs as real go-getting business individuals, their numbers would fly through the roof. Why on earth is that idea so hard to implement here at Galderma?
Because Galderma lost a great business-minded, well-grounded and productive individual when they lost SM. Typing stupid Galderma management decision.
Let's just say, if you wanted to move numbers upwards, while maintaining legal, ethical, and compliance standards, SM was your man. Sometimes management decisions are political, even to the detriment of the company, and that is the only possibility I can reason. He will be a real asset and do great where ever he ends up. The political a--holes are, however, left behind at Galderma to continue being a drag on the companies progress.
