Why did procedure volume drop with new vessel sealer, stapler and single site?

I don't think there are a great number of surgeons for whom not having a stapler and/or vessel sealer was a deal breaker. If it was that important to them, just use manual devices through the accessory port. Secondly, general surgeons tend to have better laparoscopic skills and a lot of them don't see a benefit to robotics on more than a few surgeries. That will probably change over time, but he days of rapid adoption and growth are long gone.

Because at least 25% of the case volume reported historically is false. Ghost cases, etc.. You may reply " what about OnSite "?........ How about running real instruments during "training" versus training instruments........

Drive the Curve!!! False or true, who cares.

The funny thing is the company turns a blind eye to the ghost cases until it needs to 'make a change.' The corruption runs deep. They know about this and have a strategy in place whereby they know how many ghost cases occur and do nothing about.
