Why does Jerry leave us this late in the game? Pretty shitty for him to have his last act to be a layoff call. I mean really shitty. Are they about to sell off a chunk of the business and the bring Jerry to managed markets as to not sell him down the river?

This is exactly what isn’t happening. They separated the business units, make Renner the captain of the ship that’s headed for the waterfall and Jerry lives another day. I imagine he could handle having his last contact with the salesforce being a call that lets them know they are fucked if it meant staying on the mothership.

You can thank Saunders the idiot. He put these Forest losers in charge ! Good !

Jerry didn't leave us: he was dismissed. Jerry held onto the only pharma sales model he's ever known- pods- and that model is completely outdated- not that SOV ever really was a good way to measure success. As a result, we had the highest cost per head in the industry- multiple reps divided by sales= cost of sales ( along with samples rebates marketing etc...)when you do the math, this model just doesn't match what our peer group produces on a per rep basis, but Lynch was completely married to metrics as the only way to operate. Giraffe jokes aside, Renner marches to his drummer. You don't have to like the guy but he gets results: big on individual accountability and no one hiding in a "team"- look how they have hospital set up- one rep/ one territory where that individual gets all the blame or all the glory. It sure just got different around here.

Hospital only had one Rep forever
CR’s last Sales lead before that was WH. They still have multiple reps per Territory
The only thing you got right was that he marches to his own drum.
