I can't help but wonder why folks are so afraid to call the mass shooting in Tucson, Arizona an act of terrorism.

The fear of the "T" word seems almost palpable in describing the gruesome events that took place this past Saturday. There is little explanation or reasoning for the omission, except that it's very obvious what most Americans won't call 22-year-old Jared Loughner. It goes without saying that the man is deranged. Fairly obvious that he's unstable. But, tell us what we don't know. Get straight to the core of the matter here. Let's not fool ourselves and everyone else struggling to make sense out of it. Loughner is a terrorist, clearly fit within the strictest definition of the term.

How interesting. What I can't help noticing is that you plagiarized Charles Ellison's article in the Huffington Post word for fucking word! Just sticking the link in there isn't sufficient. You tried to steal someone elses words and pass them off as your own.

Here is the Ellison version:

That's pretty slimy, AIP...even by Breakingnews and RAB's practically non-existent standards.

YOU of all people want to talk about standards? YOU cut and ran when called out for posting this 'slimy' incest laden response to RAB:

"When did you stop fucking your mother? Answer specifically please."

You have no standards or boundries when it comes to your serial lying and outlandishly vile posts. You are a cowardly little man and I feel sorry for your family and any offspring you may have that shares in your polluted gene pool.

The floor, after I wiped it up with him, is now Bubble Boy's . . .

Sorry, but I didn't "cut and run". I'm still waiting for an answer to the question.

Let me try this again.

Of course I checked the link. That's how I knew you were plagiarizing someone elses work. Let's just say that it is normally customary to place quotations around a quoted phrase, lest people think that you might be claiming that you thought it up yourself.

Sorry if I reacted too strongly.

"The definition of terrorism has proved controversial. Various legal systems and government agencies use different definitions of "terrorism". Moreover, the international community has been slow to formulate a universally agreed upon, legally binding definition of this crime. These difficulties arise from the fact that the term "terrorism" is politically and emotionally charged."-Wikipedia

This is probably why we aren't calling it terrorism. I do think it is interesting that huffpo and an author in huffpo so want it be called that though. I believe it is because they would love nothing more than to lay this down as a politically motivated terrorist act. When nothing has been presented that indicate that it was an act of political terror.

To do an act of political terror one has to actually have a political objective in mind to achieve, ie: Palestinians want Israel out and their people in, Radical Islamic Muslims want political power around the globe to enact Sharia Law.

This lunatic wanted an answer to an unanswerable question. "If words have no meaning...." that got his dopamenergic brain flooded to only be obsessed with his target.

Hey Libtahd,

How about we get passed the Libtahd resistance to calling muslim fanatics terrorists, and then we will get to this example.

Deal?

I didn't think so.
