Ummmmm dumbass. I'm not with Novartis. I would agree that having a strong MS background is key to being an effective RD. However did you or I always know MS, of course not. We studied, we learned, we work(ed) with Neuro's. We became clinical experts if you will. Now would it be best that the new RD in NJ have a strong background in MS, of course yes. But I would rather have an RD that is a good person, logical, willing to learn MS and not some kool aid drinking idiot, than an RD that is an expert in MS and not some self serving arrogant person.
