Who will acquire Alexion? When? And for which price?

Not gonna happen. They're in a tough spot, too expensive to buy for the ROI. That Synageva purchase really tanked Alexion for the foreseeable future. You'll see New Haven close in the next 12 months before you'll see a sale. Alexion is positioning itself to focus on M&A rather than developing new products. No need to have that giant waste of money in New Haven to buy products.

That "giant waste of money" houses the people who developed the products that pay all the paychecks. This includes bought products. Current clinical programs and even the one filed for approval cannot proceed without that group (as things stand currently). I hope you are not an employee who is that out of touch with how things work.

If the people who actually matter and earn the money are all located in New Haven then why the move to Boston? Wasn't it under the premise so they could be closer to "a larger talent pool" ? So, they're going to acquire talent in Boston and then have them relocate to New Haven? I guess that makes sense.

Obviously, they moved for CEO commute purposes only. They end up paying back $2 million more than CT gave them in the first place just to relocate. Ludwig must really love his wife.

...just saw this, the funny part is they couldn't fill the spots needed with Boston folks. Maybe the pool dried up, maybe somebody peed in it? Whatever the reason, they had to go crawling back to CT and ask people to take their old jobs back. The move was based entirely on CEO request.
