Who was let go in Oncology (no initials just names)

No offense, but everybody who needs to know already knows. I don't think it is necessary to add embarrasment by posting names on CafePharma.

The past week has been very tough for a lot of families. Hopefully every one of them will find jobs soon. Several have job opportunities within Novartis Oncology and others have posted for other jobs in Novartis.

The Oncology Sales Reps are different than most and because we are a relatively small group we know almost everyone else. It wouldn't do anyone any good to start posting a bunch of names and it will only further hurt those that are already hurt.

I too would like to know who was affected by the latest criminal acts of Novartis.
However, I understand the need of some to maintain a degree of confidentiality about this.
In the same situation we all will need to devise our own exit statements.

It would be informative to have reasonably accurate info regarding the number of folks affected, the geographical distribution and how many were reps, FLMs and insiders.

No one should be embarrassed about being laid off. It is not the reps fault.

There wer 75 laid off. We had 995 total employees in Onc. division. There was 61 by attrition before layoff. Lots of position still available in Oncology and I hope to god they are filled by those let go if they want them. If not that will be sooo wrong!

THEY DON'T REHIRE REJECTS, ASK THE 1400 LAID OFF IN FEBRUARY, AND EVEN IF YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE IN GOOD STANDING NOVARTIS DOESN'T THEY WON'T REHIRE YOU CASE CLOSED
 


















I know some people who should have lost their jobs. The people who wont stop bitching about the territory they got in the reorganization. Be happy you have a job because there are others who got pink slips who would take your place!!!
 






I guess that the oncology sales force is so special that they dont even need to name who was done wrong by Novartis. The asshole that made that comment feels that the people that were laid off were somehow responsible for that happening... I was laid off 12/2 and I was not hurt by that being made public. I did nothing wrong. I was successful for 26 years. When people want to know who was let go it is because they care. When it happens to you, and it will, be ready to deal with these jackasses that feel superior to you and think that you messed up.

I am sorry that you were laid off and hope that you have already found meaningful employment. Still, I don't see anything productive coming from knowing the names of those displaced most recently.

There are approximately 20 openings at a Sales Rep level right now. My understanding is that everyone displaced is welcomed to post for those positions. I don't know how many have done so but I would expect many will. There were some very talented people that were left out due to insistance of following business rules. Why are the business rules written the way they are so that good people are let go? You just need to look at the multitude of lawsuits to find your answer.
