I will bet $1 million that there is no layoff talk on Fridays call. Just a loooong bs call about Jaunary and moving forward.

Tell us what you know and stop draggin this out any longer!

You are 100% accurate that there will be no layoff discussion. End of November is when the "new" D-day is taking place.

Why do this? Why string your employees along? The longer they make us wait the more people leave. The more people leave, the less they have to lay off and severance. The less they have to severance, the cheaper this re-org becomes for them. It's a sick tactic, but that's what's happening.

I know the whole this is corporate, this is the way of life, this is what happens is crap. Shire used to be a company that wouldn't let this happen. Or, it had people that if something like this HAD to happen, they could do it in a much better way for us. However, this leadership team lacks the identity of Old Shire. They don't know about what helped make this company what it is now. They come from big pharma and are bringing that style here.

It's unfortunate. And believe this, regardless of whether you have a job or not January 1 you had better be looking. Nothing will ever be the same as we have all grown to appreciate with Shire. Our compensation package will be adjusted down AGAIN. Our morale and confidence will NEVER go back up simply because of who is "leading" us.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of negativity, but it's reality. I just hope the people here who are hoping to get laid-off, and there are plenty, just leave or find another job. Let the people who want to work here keep their jobs, for now.

Truth - minus the part of people leaving that are hoping for a layoff...Bring it on
