My Manager approves my expense reports on average 2 weeks after it’s been sitting in his in-box. I spoke with my
counterpart and it is not just me.
There have been numerous times that I would have to make payments out of our family savings account to pay AMEX (so I don’t get a late charge penalty) for business expenses.
Our T&E policy states that Managers have 5 business days to approve reports after it has been submitted. I heard that Accounting had previously reprimanded him for late fees on his AMEX card as doesn’t do his own Expense Reports in a timely manner and frequently submits it after the AMEX statement comes out.
I don’t get it. He doesn’t get that other people have expenses to support their family and he puts an unnecessary burden by sitting on the reports that need to be reimbursed.
He has time to call everyone on the Team to micromanage our prescriber Rx. Analyzing trends and sending it out weekly. Yet on the BASIC stuff like approving ERs takes forever.
My wife is complaining as she lost her job because of COVID and this situation is becoming frustrating as she manages the family’s budget and we have children with expenses in school.
