WHO IS GOING TO BUY US?

Awful time to sell. Market for acquisitions sucks. Rates are rising so capital is harder to come about. Nobody has any interest in Rx as Nemo will take more and more money to bring to market at the same time the other products are dropping in profitability. We have already pulled back on the Cetaphil expansion as they realized that was short lived. Upper leadership has more turn over than a puppy mill. Aesthetics has more competition entering the market. They are doing good but can’t keep up the needed growth to fund the whole company. Good luck Galderma!

Very accurate statement. It seems Galderma cannot win whatever it does. The only way out is to split the business up and sell each unit separately. Even that could be a challenge but a more realistic scenario.

What does the Cetaphil/Consumer pullback actually look like?

Those big companies would only want Nemo they would have zero interest in the topical game. Topicals are a dying dog! There’s no money in it certainly not enough to interest big pharma

Here is the issue with selling them off individually….nobody will want rx. Net sales are down 60 plus percent, coverage is getting worse, reimbursements are bad, Nemo is 18-24 plus months out, Dupixent is super solid and will be hard to sell against, new products are underperforming, Oracea patient is almost done…..should I go on? How much would you pay knowing all this?
Galderma need to make this a package deal bc buying RX solo makes no sense. Cetaphil is good but you would simply drop our sales force if you purchased them assuming you had a force in place already.
Any way you slice it it is a challenge situation. Happy selling!

This company needs to overcome many challenges. Biologic atopic dermatitis market is crowded. We don’t have the muscles to compete against the largest pharma companies. Topical Rx has no value. Consumer business is being crushed by bigger players and our Ax business is suffering from a lack of innovation + the toxin is not ours but Ipsen’s and the contract is a disaster.
What’s the plan????

Even if you don't want to leave, you will be shoved out when this company gets sold. It won't get better.

The market is tough right now, which means the sooner you start, the greater the likelihood you are gone when the next layoffs do hit.

Remember, Galderma is a nobody in pharma so it will take time as you are competing with talent from reputable companies.
