Take into account the fact that management seems preoccupied, AGAIN, with trying to ban the import of 17-hydroxyprogesterone caproate (the active in Makena). They tried this by filing a petition with the Federal Trade Commission, which was dismissed.

If the fools in management had any sense (or got some access to competent consultants), they would realize that 17-hydroxyprogesterone caproate is monographed by the United State Pharmacopeia (USP). Why this is important is that as long as imported drug meets the USP specifications, it is legal to import the drug. There is no logical or legal basis to ban the import of the raw drug that meets USP criteria.

The KV/TherRx argument against the import of the drug also seems to wilt considering that the raw drug used to manufacture Makena is also produced outside of the United States.

Management really needs to start paying attention to building the business and focusing ways to undo years of negative reputation instead of continually focusing on "unwinable"
law suits and legal arguments with governmental agencies.

It's quite hard to "sell" when your target docs won't see you, or laugh in your face over KV/TherRx actions to try and save Makena. Why does management keep focusing on "unwinable" legal challenges and lawsuits? Maybe best if they help to undo the years of unfavorable opinions that the docs have of KV/TherRx.

I may be a "mental midget" as you put it, but I surely do know that management is not very helpful in helping me "sell"..... they really need to stop the poorly thought out strategies intended to stop Makena competition, and focus on rebuilding the reputation of TherRx.
 






News Flash: If you are employed in the field at Ther-rx you are not actually "selling"
just someone who drives around and tries to give away free lunches because they cant get a job anywhere else. The real sales professionals left years ago.

I guess being voted the worst CEO two years in a row, is not germane? Greg was part of a management team that took control of KV/TherRx and took that $700 million company with almost 1700 loyal employees into bankruptcy and terminated most of the employees. You call that "... single handily saved the company"? I call that management incompetence.

He saved himself with a fat bonus and final buyout. Take that to the bank when they sell this place off.

This response proves that Divis reads Cafepharma and gets pi$$ed because he is being bad mouthed by the big bad reps. Grow a frickin' pair Divis and realize that A, you are not liked or respected by anyone in this company and B, you are one of the leasted respected and competent CEO's in the industry. You, and basically you alone, have made this formerly great company the laughing stock within the pharma industry. Do everyone a favor and resign. At least KV/THer-Rx can try to recapture what we used to have if someone else came in who knew how to really run a company.

Spoken like a whiny rep. No surprise. Look you should just resign and move on. KV is doing just fine and will be doing even better long after your whining messages. How about you grew "a pair" and step up by doing something really impressive like post your name, or go do your job, or better yet leave.

It is very apparent Divis that you are reading and responding to these posts. If you were to do something impressive just ONCE with this company we'd all be surprised. Also I guess you like hiding behind the anonymous posting name too. You're the alledged leader of this company why don't you step forward and post your name since you are so good at calling us whiney reps or are you afraid to show your real colors and feelings about the field force you pu$$!!

Doing fine? This company is teetering on extinction. Nothing is fine. The buzzards are circling the one time large skeleton of a company looking to see if there are any scraps worth eating. KV/Ther-rx is an industry joke. Its a tragedy of course. All of the blame can be laid at the feet of Marc Hermelin and his bride. All of it. They own the collapse. Sure, there are culpable execs who looked the other way, but unless your name was Hermelin you had no power to do anything. A whistle blower lawsuit would have been nice.

Surely you realize that the recapitalization was accomplished by a group of hedge funds... and they couldn't care less about the future of KV/TherRx, only interested in when they can exit at at profit. Problem is, they overpaid for control of KV/TherRx. If Makena can't achieve at least $115 Million this coming calendar year, you'll see the hedge funds abandon the company to minimize their losses.

Makena has some serious problems, like poor utilization by OB/Gyns, at least two generics awaiting FDA approval with the same formula, different indication (docs can prescribe "off-label"), all this plus KV/TherRX reputation amongst OB/Gyns which is not very good.
