Who got what?

In the southeast area...not saying state or location....interviewed in Dallas, offered 85K...was lower than I expected since I was making in the 90's. 40k bonus...lets see who actually makes that and what % of the sales rep make over 24K. Yes, I took it-wasn't working

I would have taken it. I got down to the last 2 reps. Then, the manager hired neither of us after making me travel, get a hotel room on my own dime and act like I was his favorite. The recruiter told me that I made too much money (low 100's), and the manager hired a rep without interviewing them who worked with him in the past. That is such a waste of my time and disrespectful to do that to people. Especially after he made me send copies of all of my accomplishments. I would have taken a lower salary, and been thrilled to do it. I was willing to work for 80K base. That's a 30K cut. I am miserable traveling. I spend 4 nights in a hotel room every week, and drive a 4 state territory. Makes me wonder if I need to refuse to answer the salary question in the future. That is the 3rd job this year, that I have made it to the final 2 candidates, and they say my salary is too high. (even though I tell them I am open to any salary and am aware that the 100s base now is rare).

You need to change your interview story. Something is amiss. I just started looking in November had two interviews, two offers, and went with Zogenix.
