Reading through many threads, I get the impression this forum is mostly visited by US sales and MRL people. Am I missing anybody? Anyone from HQ around here? Any management folks? Anybody from Europe? Latin America? Anywhere in this wide world? How about ex-Merck? Other companies perhaps? Any of Merck's customers by any chance?
State where you are, division, and level - it should be interesting.

Hello, are you putting together a list for the next round of layoff?

Good for you but no I was just curious because I believe this message board ought to be used and read by everybody in the company to speak up and candidly say what's going on since we know what happens if you do that with your own signature. Remember they allowed that for a short bit over the intranet? Then they shut it down. What concerns me is if the IT folks can be directed to hack all our posts and trace our IPs. I don't think they would bother - if they do it means they are listening with the ears of Stalin but my guess is that they wouldn't even listen, not even to identify their "enemies".

Say what you will about the folks in IT for whatever reason you would say it, but with the way that group has been treated recently, I am fairly certain that they just might turn the tables on Merck were any request to hack into an external site to be made. Merck might have thought a little bit about this before they laid them off and outsourced the work. It would be interesting who is held in lower esteem, Rupert or Ken.

Good point here about the IT folks. Nobody talks about them or for them over this forum here but yeah, things have been awful over there from what little I've seen.
