Your hatred for Obama apparently is exceeded only by your aversion to paying taxes. It might be a good time to have another glass of whine and chill out for a while. An get used to it, at this time NONE of the repubic teabagger conservatards offer any substantial opposition, and what they do have will diminish further when Sarah the "quitter" Plain get into the race.

Except that this is one of the first debates and it has been scheduled for some time, long before he announced he must do his little speech at the same time AND it is highly unusual to call a joint session for just another speech.

Only those of you that are blind followers cannot see his normal Chicago machine politics in action and his immature, whiny blame game continuing.

Deja Vu All Over Again- One Year Ago Today: Obama Promised A Jobs Plan After His Vacation

Its Deja Vu all over again. One year ago today President Obama sat down with Brian Williams just before he went on his end of summer vacation to Cape Cod. The big revelation in the interview was the President's promise that as soon as he is back from his family vacation he was going to present a jobs plan to the country. (See Video Below). Gee the only thing missing was the hurricane.


“We anticipated that the recovery was slowing – the economy is still growing, but it’s not growing as fast as it needs to. I’ve got things right now before Congress that we should move immediately, and I said so before I went on vacation, and I’ll keep on saying it now that I’m back,” Obama told Williams when asked if he had a jobs plan.


“There are a whole host of measures we could take – no single element of which is a magic bullet – but cumulatively can start continuing to build momentum for the recovery,”





Now where did I hear that before. Oh wait..I know, today in the White House Rose Garden:

Next week, I will be laying out a series of steps that Congress can take immediately to put more money in the pockets of working families and middle-class families, to make it easier for small businesses to hire people, to put construction crews to work rebuilding our nation’s roads and railways and airports, and all the other measures that can help to grow this economy.
See President Obama doesn't even have enough respect for the American people to change the scenario in which he spews his political nonsense. Last year his post vacation speech led to almost nothing in terms of concrete programs. If history is our guide, nothing new will be announced next week either.

The first two years with a full dem slate in the house and senate.

Promises to focus on jobs:

- December 2008, with the following passage of the stimulus. BTW, unemployment at the time was 7.8%, before spending more than $800 billion.
- April 2009 with focus on the green and auto industries. Unemployment 8.9%
- December 2009, heralding a drop in unemployment from 10.1% to 9.9% as being a result of his policies that cost $30 billion. Unemployment 9.9%
- January 2010 $2.3 billion in tax credits for clean technology with promises of $5 billion more, with promises this will create jobs. Unemployment rate 9.7%
- Later in January 2010, wanting to spend $155 billion more, and passes a bill with costs of $17.6 billion in March.
- September 2010, plans to spend $50 to build roads along with a huge percentage focused on poorly planned light rail systems. Thankfully, this was defeated. Unemployment 9.6%
January 2011 state of the union, claims focus on jobs.
- August 2011, vague promises of jobs for rural America. Unemplyment 9.1%.


Why does anyone think yet another speech is going to change anything? Unless this guy can lead, unless he can understand America and believe in it, unless he can grasp the fear about the deficit and the nation's future, another fancy speech means nothing.

Your ignorance is stunning. Congress must invite the president to address a joint conference. He cannot demand one. At least someone in his administration must have taken him aside and mentioned this fact since he has moved it to the next night. BTW, choosing not only the same day but the exact time as the long planned debates were NO coincidence.
