While the Sales Force has been overly stressed about finding new patients, maintaining their current patients, and managing inventory shortages a certain VP's most important statement to a top Medical Department Executive was, "I bet your nurses think you're hot." Who calls this leadership?
 






contrary to popular opinion, in medicine most of all, sex does NOT sell. ask any doc. they see tons of skin everyday. An intelligent rep with some smarts could go far. Docs are not stupid like home office types that oogle the darn sales force. wake up.

Hey numbnuts read the original post and re-read it again. The VP said it to a medical director not employed by ViroPharma. And I disagree with your theory; though I don't have a pair of breasts I do know a fair amount of physicians who would prefer to talk to a pair than me.

really? this lame assumption is based on the concept that doctors, pa's, and np's are all men -

maybe if you spruced yourself up a bit, your customers might talk to you but then again your mentality probably shines through on every call anyway ...
 






Clarification-
The VP(male) said, "I bet your nurses think you're hot!" to a top Medical Exec at this Company. The statement was made after a Sales and Marketing Strat planning meeting. The Medical Exec that this statement was said to is also male. This statement had nothing to do with selling. The VP has a "man crush" on anyone who might be a faster runner, be higher on the corporate ladder than himself, be a certain male physician in Houston, or be a top consistent male sales specialist.
Highly incompetent people tend to try to cover their deficiencies by sucking up to all around them. This suck up has been promoted far beyond his skill level. He can keep trying, but those with any ounce of intelligence see right through his antics! Since he likes to read so much, he might want to pick up a few books on people skills and learning how to be a leader becase he lacks any natural leadership abilities. BTW being well read means nothing if you can't apply the knowledge. More super fine leadership calls by Viro--Can you picture the titantic yet? tug tug
 






the vp sounds like a train wreck but probably provides a lot of fun in the last stall in the men's room at home office ... one way to keep your job I guess when you have no other talent.
 






RD - do you honestly believe we give a fvck if you want a push in extra SRFs. Why don't you have PF pull that magic dildo of yours out of your a$$ and wave it over the magic target list. Are you diluted enough to think that the SRFs produced last week were the result of your motivational email?
