Where is Perry?

I'm not convinved Perry should be the GOP candidate but have to laugh at media attempts to control opinions.

In the debates, Williams should have said that all candidates other than Perry and Romney could stay home because there was no way a question would be directed to them, or that they would get a chance to respond.

And I'm sure that this article will make it into Perry attacks:

Texas wildfire victims wondering where Perry is

BASTROP, Texas (AP) — Residents affected by a devastating Central Texas wildfire are growing impatient with state officials and questioning why Gov. Rick Perry hasn't spent more time there.

Some residents yelled at Texas Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst when he visited the command center in Bastrop County Friday, asking where Perry is and why they haven't had any housing help.

Wildfires have destroyed nearly 1,400 homes about 25 miles from Austin.

Perry, running for the Republican nomination for president, interrupted his campaign and returned to Texas for two days before heading to California for a debate Wednesday. He is now fundraising in California.

Perry's office said "everything that needs to be done to respond to these fires is being done."

Dewhurst said the White House hasn't yet replied to a request for federal aid.

It is true that despite thousands of homes being burned, that the politics of the white house have resulted in their refusal to reply to repeated requests for federal aid. But here's the rest of the story.........

It ends up the AP's "Inpatient Residents" was actually ONE person, a NON RESIDENT of Texas, making an inquiry about why Perry wasn't in Texas. AP pulled the "story".

The Associated Press has withdrawn its story about Texas residents questioning why Gov. Rick Perry has not spent more time in areas affected by wildfires. The single person who asked about Perry's involvement was not an area resident.

It is almost as dastardly as posting links comparing the two candidates from different parts of their respective websites.

I haven't actually decided who to support. I know I will not support Romney or Huntsman. No way. No how. I have too much respect for myself and would rather see Obama get a second term with a GOP House and a GOP Senate.

My personal favorites in order are

1) Rick Santorum - Has consistently and unwaveringly supported Conservative principles for as long as I have known him
2) Ron Paul - has changed the debate
3) Sarah Palin (hasn't declared yet) - Miss anti establishment. I love her
4) Herman Cain (says it like it is and I love his 9/9/9 plan - Business brain
5) Michelle Bachman - Pretty bright, but needs more polish. Just too soon
6) Rick Perry - I like what I see on many things, but something still bugs me.

Every time I start to like Ron Paul, he manages to say something stupid, like legalizing cocaine and heroin, or becoming isolationist.

If Sarah Palin decides to run and wins the nomination, she will split the party and OBlahBlah gets four more years to fuck things up.

Cain has no international relations knowledge or skills, he doesn't seem to understand how the federal republic works.

That leaves Santorum, Bachman, Romney, and Perry.

Voters don't like Santorum, so he just doesn't get votes. He was elected in one of the most Unionized states in the country.

Bachman speaks in generalities without being specific on anything. She claims to have created jobs in the private sector, but all she did was open a legal office and pay a couple of secretaries. She's almost as bad as OBlahBlah with her generalities.

Romney is too moderate, can't be trusted to repeal Obamacare, and is a mugwump on other issues. He was anti-abortion in Utah and pro-abortion in Mass. He's a RINO.

That leaves Perry. He has no experience in the private sector, but he understands the problems and believes in keeping the government out of business, and promoting an inviting business environment. He's not perfect, but he's better than any of the competition.

Unfortunately, neither Mahatma Ghandi nor Ronald Reagan is available, so my vote goes to Perry. My state does not have partisan primaries, so I don't get to chose the nominee. I usually vote for the worst Democrat, just to fuck things up for them.

I provided links to both websites and once you enter, they are pretty darn easy to navigate. You can look through the entire site, not just the first page that opens with the link provided.
