What do YOU do when your boss says something completely stupid?
I'll start. I was walking into my office building and met my Boss's Boss at the door. He asked me how it was going, a question to which I replied to with a perfunctory "Good."
A little background. My team had been allowed to work at home everyday for almost four years when it was decided that it was better that we all be forced to return to our former offices. Four years prior to that, it was hearlded that it would be "A productivity enhancing, morale boosting, cost saving move for employees to be allowed to work from home." So when we got the word that we were going back to our cubicles, it wasn't all that well received.
My second level Manager then said to me; "You know, John, I think we have a chance to make a real difference here." Luckily for him, I caught my vomitous in the back of my mouth. I definitely wanted to throw up all over his shiny new shoes. Your turn.
