Truth is, he’s a pretty talented guy. He ‘outlived’ Soeters, Jurek and Jesper, so he had to be doing something right. Of course not everyone likes the boss, that just goes with the job. But I’ll tell you - we worked together for a while in his Market Access role (I left in ‘18), and he knows his stuff. He was likely chosen bc of his expertise in an area that was increasingly influencing the market and Novo’s business. Was at the right time and place with Obesity, as all current employees over the last 5 years have been. So shut up and I hope you banked your bonus and massive stock payouts.More to the than meets the eye.
I’d say he did a really good job, caught a good bit of the obesity ‘wave’ and looked longer term personally and said ‘I’m good, I’m out’.More to the than meets the eye.
Actually, he’s a piece of human garbage. He doesn’t care about people and openly speaks poorly of employees, especially salespeople. If you’ve been around him much, you know I am speaking the truth. He got put in the role b/c he didn’t know shit and would do whatever he was told - Lars said as much when he made the announcement of DUGL taking over. His only success was Hollywood jumping on the Ozempic train. Ozempic had been a disappointment up until that point. He rode the wave of something he had no part in creating. And, let’s be clear, he was asked to leave.Truth is, he’s a pretty talented guy. He ‘outlived’ Soeters, Jurek and Jesper, so he had to be doing something right. I have Director-level friend there now, no direct reports and they’ll earn a million dollars in ‘24. One-million-dollars.
Pretty darn good.
So don’t worry about Doug. Be happy with the slice you got.
His whole strategy when we started of Must win battles was taken straight from Jesper before him.
