When Did Lilly Really Start To Suck

This is a serious question for long time Lilly employees. When did the company really start going downhill as a place to work? Was it under the leadership of former CEO ST, or does it go back earlier than his reign of questionable competence?

About the time they started defining employees by the most recent 3 month performance over double-digit years’ worth of performance and dedication!! ….somewhere between 2016/ 17?

When things started getting overly political and polarized between Republicans and Democrats. Lilly really caved in to the Dems and the whole LBGTQAnxjudhen movement over the past few years. I'd say right around 2020 or so.

Yeah Lilly really started to suck around 2020, what with the stock more than tripling since then.

You can't get more than a few posts in these threads before wokeness and politics comes up. Never mind the work-life balance and cut-throat culture that started around 2014 when the beauty contest to be the next CEO started. But since you brought it up politics and wokeness...

If by "sucking" you mean when did people in same-sex relationships start feeling like it might be safe to stop hiding it, that was around 2004 when Lilly starting offering domestic partner benefits.

If by "sucking" you mean when did pretending to be a Republican stop being a prerequisite for an executive position, that was around 2008 when Lechleiter took the helm and hired Bart Peterson.

If by "sucking" you mean when did Lilly start taking a stand on culture war legislation that makes it even harder to entice top talent to Indiana, that was around 2014 during the RFRA fiasco.

If by "sucking" you mean when did the Lilly PAC start giving >50% of its budget to Democrats, still hasn't happened. Look at the data.

If by "sucking" you mean when did Lilly stop telling employees in town halls that Democrats would be a disaster for our business, and aggressively lobbying mostly Republican politicians, still hasn't happened.

Stupid Democrat. What else is new?

If by "sucking" you mean when (insert stupid example that no one is talking about)

no, they probably mean the sexual morality workshops about accepting polyamory, silly virtue-signaling pronouns in email signatures, the DNC rallies that break out in unrelated team meetings, and a whole host of other things.
