What's your take on these moves

so what do you all think about this new attempt at strategy?
My take is:
1- they are separating the businesses so that they can be sold at any moment should the right opportunity present itself
2- the EOC got tired of commuting to Saint Louis and will be closer to home in NY
3- Matt Harbaugh lives in Saint Louis and will remain there
4- something else is happening that they didn't share
5- changes are probably a nice way to avoid undue overall stock pressure and harder for lawmakers to attack
6- modification of operating model= keeping things so no one can figure out what they're really doing
7- customer centric = we need to justify our regular price increases
8- there still is no solid strategy

Am I cynical? Ezperience has thaught me to rarely believe anything management tells you until proven otherwise.

Well...my take on the consolidation... To save money...Mallincrokdt has always been one of the cheapest companies around and they still do not know how to conduct business. The blind leading the blind. I agree it is easier to sell one area now ,but I wish it was ARD..but if anything they would sell the generics division.. Of course, there are more changes coming..and they most definitely will be bad. The only alternate and the smart one is for all to vacate. This company will never be a key "player" ever. They have been around many many years and are still at the bottom of the barrel and not respected in the industry.

Good way to cut expenses and save money if most of these offices are not needed. Kind of surprised about Hayward closing though because I thought all of the ARD GM's and marketing folks just moved out to the Bay area to work out of that office. Guess some will get a nice relocation package to move east.

This was inevitable, but there is NO WAY the California folks will move out of state. Expect to see a lot of resignations very soon. In terms of JD, just like many of the RBD and DM's, have been looking at other opportunities and will be gone soon. They got what they needed from this company such as new titles (VP for JD and RBD for others) and have put enough time in that it looks great on their resumes. But it is a guarantee that most that love in Calofornia love that lifestyle and live there for a reason and absolutely will not move.
