What's with the Electrode Field Action/Product Notification?

So the overpriced Olympus electrodes can't handle running into a UroLift clip? And will break off into the patient...? Bougee engineering, bro.

So your rationale is:
  • Urolift is no longer working, must need a TURP or some sort of resection
  • Olympus plasma electrodes might break when hitting a metal implant, which, sorry to beat a dead horse here, is no longer working
  • Bougee engineering on ANY resection loop or button? My god. Best of luck to you
What a clown show

No - actually I don't care about UroLift. I agree that de-bulking of the prostate is the gold standard. Simply moving the tissue out of the way only buys time.

Why do Olympus electrodes break when they encounter the UroLift clip? Is the metal sub-standard? I thought they were supposed to be the "Premier Electrode" on the market...
