What's happening in Michigan?

Maybe things are going to be announced about revenue projections for full year 2011. Charges,
civil settlements possibly. There is a lot more than just the private lawsuit that was just settled.

Anyone with a serious answer? I've been contacted to interview for one of the Michigan positions. It is concerning that turnover has been so high.

I've read the posts and appreciate the different points a view for and against the work environment but this issue is very concerning. Why have so many people left the Michigan market in the last year? And why did the most recent hire leave after only a few weeks on the job?

I'm thankful for anyone who provides an honest reply.

Honest reply. There has been NO turnover in the Michigan territory. Dendreon is a good company to work for and this board is infested by an internet troll that continuously posts negative misinformation about the company on a daily basis. Good luck with your interview.

Good luck in your interview. I have been a sales rep for nearly 15 years and Dendreon has been the best company I have worked for in my career. Michigan is a tremendous territory. We are having record sales in the territory this quarter. We need additional assistance to better service the area. The provenge TV commercial and our new sales strategies are having the desired effect. There is a large potential patient population in the territory. We could use your help.

This misinformation here is absurd. There is 1 rep left in the District in Michigan. Do the interviewing and ask why everyone has left. Don't listen to this troll that always states things are rosy here.

Good Luck

We are not adding a territory as the implication is here. Yes people left. One of the reps was there for 2 years. Don't know the new guy. Keep your eyes open when you IV. It is not the best company you will ever work for and this quote above is not from a rep but an HR person that dispels any slightly negative info here. Do your research and ask onc people in the area. The product is fun to sell but this biotech is on the other side of the hill now. You can still make money and gain experience for your future jobs.

You got to be kidding right. Provenge is the first immunotherapy ever approved and has only been marketed for 1.5 years since the manufacturing plants were completed in the fall of 2011. A "vaccine" for cancer is a medical breakthrough. It is very very early in the product launch. Combo studies are ongoing with Zytiga, Xtandi, and Vervoy. Any of these studies could show huge synergy between the drugs adding significantly to the combined survival benefit. A low side effect like provenge and whose course of therapy is completed in only 1 month facilities the use of the drug in combo with other drugs. In addition, Dendreon has Neuvenge in phase 2 in bladder cancer which could be another homerun.

I am a Dendreon rep. I think the company is great to work for. The product is true medical innovation. Don't be influenced by internet trolls that have never set foot in a Dendreon facility and fill this board with one fake crisis after the next.

Great post. Thank you. I don't think the post is from HR. It is true about IV. That's the answer.

Ignore poster #5. There is turnover and way above what is normal for a small biotech.

There are/were three territories in Michigan and two openings (GR/Det). They are on the company website and referenced in the "salesforce imploding" thread.

One rep left over a year ago and the position was never filled. That left two reps but they both left. Another rep was just hired but rumor is he has already left. I don't know for sure.

Agree re: IV. Steve Thompson paid.

I could not agree more. Provenge is a wondersful drug. Dendreon is a good company to work for. I am paid very well by the company to make a real positive difference in the lives of cancer patients. I truly am proud to work for our company.

I am very happy with my rep position at our company and resent the constant stream of malicious misinformation promulgated here by people that have never worked at dendreon. I believe this malicious misinformation is specifically intended to financually hurt me and the company. I am very happy with my position and resent this smear campaign.
