What's DSI story???

Has anyone received inside scoop on new products we may or may not receive? Are we all going to sell welchol and sprix, or are they getting rid of us??? I keep hearing my manager say it's going to be a rough year but nothing specific as to how DSI is going to handle the rough time. Anyone heard anything other then their own speculation?

Scroll a few companies down the line, stop at Novartis..read what's going on there and that may give you a pretty good idea of future....I know pharma is a comfy job but you better be prepared for change...Getting out of pharma was the greatest thing that ever happened to me...embrace change...

Astra Zeneca and Novartis both axing large numbers of sales people so do not think it won't happen here. It will. My advice is to start looking elsewhere for a job.

The story is Sankyo was awesome during the early days. Lots of partying, lots of pussy, and lots of money. Now is a mediocre place to to have a j-o-b, with none of the previous mentioned shit.

The reason AZ and Novartis are cutting sales positions is because they can. They were both part of the big pharma SOV expansion, bloating there sales forces to ridiculous sizes in the early 2000s. DSI (or what it was back then) was much smaller and didn't actually start growing until well after the big pharma companies already started the downsizings. If you recall, DSI didn't really expand until 2007 for the renewed Welchol focus. DSI may downsize, but it won't be dramatic, maybe 10%-15%.

Then why don't you shut your gaping hole and go get a job with them? Otherwise, get eith the F'n program and sell the hell outta your product, you pus sucker.

that's funny, can't wait to do the flip charts of the benefits of benicar vs. generic avapro, diovan, and cozaar at the upcoming splinter meetings, this is beyond a joke with 3 generic options no physician will be able to come close to getting benicar to a patient, this company has nadda nothing lol the meetings are a joke and even more a joke is trying to "sell" and physician the benwefits of benicar as they laugh at you on the inside and sometimes to outside, "sell the hell out of your product" lol what a joke and the physicians know it, sinking ship buddy get the blinders off and start looking, have soem pride your selling an ARB lol

ps guys benicar is pharmacokinetically IDENTICAL to avapro... end game lol and they have an indication with a maintenance dose for renal protection/reduction of protenueria with their 300 mg dose :) good luck guys how you going to combat that, oh yea mgmt will tell us to stick to our proven power, efficacy, safety, message, (quick hint: that doesn't handle that objection at all lol) oh yea avapro has that as well, and its pennies a day, oh yea diovan, a great clean drug does also, soon to be pennies a day... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!!!!!!!

we have 2 products buddy, benicar and effeint, only products on the way are oncology and for a specialized sales force, not for us, AZ and Novartis are real pharma no comparison, now you go sell "hell outta benicar" as your physicians laugh at you trying to sell in a dieing market and talk to me in 6 months after you get 2 weeks severence as package lol

As I stated before, shut your hole and just go find another job. Is that so difficult for you? Or would you rather just piss and moan like a F'n pussy and blame your inability to have an impact on your results on DSI? Pathetic excuse.

That is because DSI put 60% of the sales force on PIP programs and they went without fanfair. At least Novartis will give severance packages. When reps are traveling in twos to meet call goals you know there are major problems.

If you have no products to sell, a sales force of 500 is bloated.

well said, benicar and welchol, oh yea and 2,000 effient scripts a year, wow what a company hahaha

It is going to be difficult to sell the only product, Benicar, when Diovan goes generic in 2013. Benicar TRxs is already in a decline. If the other products don't pick up by end of Q1 2012, dsi will start lay offs steps. JG stated that in previous town hall.
