What to know about being a rare disease rep?

Can anyone comment generally on what your day/month/year is like as a rep working in the rare disease field, and specifically what it's like as a RAM at Alexion ? How do you spend your time, given so few patients/docs? Are quotas realistic? What is the background and quality of the other reps and managers? Any advice for someone considering joining the company in a field role? Thanks!

Can anyone expand on the above question? Serious answers only please. Thanks in advance!

Just a thought, and this is indeed a serious reply. Instead of coming to a lousy gossip website for info, why not do some research, get the contact info of a rep and get in touch with them directly. That type of research will go much further in your quest for answers.

Join this company for the money! Check out our stock; it's been one of the best performers in the whole market the past few years. The options you get can be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars if you play it right. Plus the team meetings are great... still do meetings at luxury hotels, ski resorts, etc. Car allowance is very generous. You may work like a dog, but you will become rich.
