What role is McKinsey playing in all of this?

Do I understand things correctly in that McKinsey is a third party brought in to analyze what employees do, suggest who/what positions to lay off to Valeant, or possibly to do the layoffs? If so, does anyone know about their current activities (what and where?) in the US?

How solid is the "week of November 4" date for possible future layoffs? Anyone who is "in the know" is invited to reply. Thank you.

Where did this date come from? I saw another post in some other thread about a lot of people leaving this Friday the 27th. Maybe I've lost track of what is what, but is there some new wave of activity happening between 09/27 and 11/04?

Many people who were told on Aug 6th were asked to stay around until end of Sept and end of Oct. Those are the people who are mainly leaving now.
