The problem is new reps are hired in at higher salary than older reps who have been here for years. The older reps will never catch up to the newer reps in terms of salary, so it creates an unfair system where an older rep is more incentivized to jump ship for a higher salary than to stay at B+L. The longer you work here the longer your salary is punished.

Shit yeah. I took a lateral move at another company, got a $15k pay increase, and relocation expenses. The money is out there. You just have to chase it.

The situation you describe is applicable to all positions not just sales. The only way to get a decent raise is to jump ship every 3 to 5 years.
