I am in the interview process and want to know,
How do you like the culture at BTL?
Do you think the base starting base salary is competitive?- I'm looking for 50
Whats training like?
Are the products strong?
Whats starting vacation package and company car?

I realize in these economic times we all our thankful for our jobs but I just want to make sure I am making the right decision to proceed in the process.

Thank you.

The culture is great and a family-like atmosphere. Of course it always depends on your DM. Mine was amazing and I still consider him a friend. Base salary is $45K, no negotiation unless something has changed but they give decent annual increases that are not that had to obtain so long as you are moving market share.

Training is a 3-day mini-camp in a central area to those in your class and then 2 weeks in Boston. I found it to be a supportive environment and easy so long as you can learn the information. The products are strong and vacation is 2 weeks with some floating holidays. Company car is a nicely equipped Ford Fusion.

I enjoyed my time there and they really care about their employees. They have never had a layoff. Good luck!

Just be aware of RF, if he's still there.

They do layoff and definitely demote people as well. RF is a punk that brings no added value to the company if still there.

It's basically like working with a bunch of horney, immature middle schoolers, including those in upper management. Over-exaggerated, ridiculous rumors will indefinitely impact your career potential with the company if you aren't politically aligned well enough to get them swept under the rug like many of the DMs, AMs and sales trainers (especially) have. It's a great place to start, but unless you're okay with settling for low pay and limited opportunities for advancement, you won't stay long.

Severely underpaid and grossly micro-managed! Ridiculous, unfair and nonsensical matrix ranking system for bonuses is outdated and keeps them from fairly paying out what reps EARN. Smoke screens and mirrors are the way DMs are coached to keep these entry level (AKA oblivious) reps at bay. Double bonuses?!?! Should we really be getting excited to finally get a decent check? No wonder you can't keep reps and are lose plenty to Ferring in particular. Can't wait to see the flood of miserable reps who quit after double bonuses are paid out. But remember kids, wait until you've got that paycheck in hand and RUN to the bank with it, because otherwise you'll forfeit it all due to some unenthical "fine print" in your "employee handbook" you signed when you were nieve and stary eyed. Haha such a wonderful, family owned company though!

Braintree shouldn't even be labeled as a pharmaceuticals. Reps are looked at as a totally insignificant because the only product they have is a bowel prep!!! Absolutely zero pipeline, extremely low pay, immature management, and no room for growth because the upper management is such a joke, no other company would take them because they wouldn't qualify. It is legitimately like working with bunch of high schoolers who think they are hot shit for being a district manager or area manager in an inferior company.
If you're looking for an entry level job to get a feel for what it's like to worth with physicians and their staff, then yes, go to Braintree for a year and then leave. Trust me, you'll better off instead of chugging the kool-aid they make you drink.
