This questions, without a doubt, will be met with it's fair share of stupid, childish replies. I also hope there are a few really thoughtful comments which will shed a little light on what the field force thinks is going on.

We are a little more than three months away from the PDUFA date of a MAJOR INDICATION, and there is not one bit f talk about an expansion. No interviewing, no input from the field, the managers aren't even talking about. There is NO way a company can expand a field force the way we would need to expand in less than three months.

Any ideas?
 






Great question, I believe you know in your heart the reason. With new treatment guidelines out soon (ATP 4), Lovaza winding down, and a label expansion your sales experience will give you a leg up on selling Vascepa for X.

Now get out there and sell so your job transfers over.
 






Yea, and wouldn't you expect a launch meeting in January? We were told it will be in March. What???? Guess they don't want to make deposits and prepare for a meeting until they are sure the indication will go through. Wish they would stop worrying about the name of the pharmacist I talked to on my pharmacy call and concentrate on the new indication. IMO, it ain't going to happen until solid outcome data is available.

New indication expansion: My RSD & DSM have both said the expansion will be around 200 people. Hiring to be completed by 12-1-13, training 1-2-2014 for new hires (pending approval of new indication with company wide "kick off" before end of January. EVERYONE!

Just like this year.

My manager HAS asked each one of us whom we would recommend as a "partner" with the understanding we will most likely NOT be partners but will have a reduced territory size with the new person taking some of my area and some of the neighboring territories area.

ATP 4 are DEAD. Never coming out. If you didn't know that SHAME ON YOU! Each therapeutic area will post their own guidelines, ie: AHA with their guidelines, etc. That is OLD NEWS.

Lovaza is winding down: LOL. They ARE putting more Lovaza reps on the street to counter us. YUP, thats true. As for their protection "patent protection for Lovaza® in the United States until at least April of 2017" hardly looks like they are giving up. Again, you should have known that information.

Launch meeting: We were told 3 months ago to NOT plan any vacation in January after January 5. If your RSD and/or DSM hasn't told you that SHAME ON THEM or they haven't told you because you will not be employed by Amarin during the meeting..... hint hint.....

OUTCOME DATA: If you are waiting for outcome data before you start to sell, SHAME ON YOU! Do you have any thoughts on how long it takes for outcomes data Skippy? Obviously not. Ask your DSM, show him exactly what a mistake hiring you was.

I haven't been told any of that information. I'm not trying to be argumentative. I'm doing really well, top 1/3, and I haven't gotten any memos or letters. Do others agree with the dates for launch? Maybe I'm getting fired?
 






We were told by RD that early January meeting was the plan also. I can't find my notes but January 5th comment sounds about the same.

Does your region/district discuss anything? The ATP info came out a while ago.

No communication. Who cares about the indication, it's not that big of a deal. The Drs write off label for Lovaza and will continue to they have done it for years!
Lets see what happens in Oct.

Are you seious, the iniction is not that big of a deal? are you a moron? It is a huge deal. Docs write Lovaza off label because they dont have any other choice. If we get the indication, they wont convert everything, but they will convert most. You have to be kidding me....

Company is going no where fast. Who cares about the ANCHOR indication. None of my Drs! It's fish oil for Gods sake with no outcome data and cheap supplements! It's not a new novel 1st in class... The company will either be sold soon, by q1 2014 or fail.
