What is going on with Tornier?

Whatever is going on with Tornier corporate and the distributors is being handled very poorly. Docs who I couldn't get in front of for years have now committed to our TSA. Reps are all but asking their docs to stand up on their behalf and corporate is keeping docs in the dark. This is a bloodbath and we're cleaning up.

I doubt it. It would have made more sense to have been rolled into Biomet two years ago when Blackstone owned both. Why go IPO then sell?

Tornier is a total mess. All their leadership is gone, business is easy to grab. Products have always been okay at best, but they had a good strategy. Now that's gone.

As far as Arthrex, the only business Arthrex is getting is bought business. And even that is being used sparingly. Should have stuck to Sports. No way Arthrex can compete in recon. Way to big of a breadth of product offerings.

Arthrex had a solid position in sports, and maybe early intervention recon like uni knees and some shoulders, but beyond that, 0 chance for success. Especially with the Sunshine Act in place. Competitive Sports med reps have to be loving this.

Arthrex doesn't know what it doesn't know.
