Anyone who thinks that a comb of Januvia and simvastatin is going to do anything but tank is smoking dope for lunch. If I have to listen to one more teleconference and have a bunch of idiots blow smoke at us like they think we never talk to our HCPs I'm going to puke. Anytime I bring it up first thing they mention is what a dog Caduet is. We can't get them to write a comb of Januvia and met why do they think doctors will write Januvia/simva?

One more dip s*#t doctor drawing a big fat Merck paycheck telling me about unmet needs and I'm going to be doing more than smoking! I know what our HCPs think and are doing I talk to them everyday something the HQ people must not be doing unless the doctor is on the payroll and saying whatever Merck wants to hear.

The doctor is paid by Merck as a medical director to read off slides cleared by legal to you. Or read the entire PI as required by the FDA to certify that all the reps have been trained. You are employed by Merck as a rep to execute whatever they ask you. You know you have the option to quit and walk, right?

I agree with OP. This isn’t about being disloyal or about how much Merck kool-aid you can drink. It’s about a bunch of people sitting up in HQ making bad decisions and then trying to convince us that this product is going to be the greatest thing to hit the market since penicillin when we all know it will bomb. At best it may do a couple of hundred million a year which is fine. Just don’t try to blow smoke up our butts.
