What happens when you quit?

I'm finally getting out of this place. Anybody know what happens when you quit? If I give my two week's notice, but my last official day is in september, do I get to keep my benefits through aug or Sept?

PS - this company has the worst culture ever... Coming from a different BIG pharma company, I can't believe how unprofessional management is. It's also unreal how they try to make everybody into a robot (kpi, stick to the script, blah blah blah)

Congrats on making it out of the Forest hell hole. Milk these M Fockers til the last possible day. Cash in options and FRX points if possible, buy groceries with budget, screw over idiot managers, and have no remorse. This company and the punks for DMs/RDs deserve it. Two week notice means nothing here, so your done the day you quit. Enjoy the next month, that is what I plan on doing too. Device is where its at.

Check with HR, but you should be covered thru your last day in September. Take this time now to cash in whatever stock options you have that are worth anything, gather and save all emails, documents, etc. that you think may be useful in future in your new life. Take a deep breaths, let out the tension and relax - you've made the right decision. I quit (I wasn't in the Sales side of Forest) a couple of months ago and am doing great; you will too.

be sure the DAY you resign is 13 days from your last day, since they will count the day you resign (even if you made calls that day) as the first day of your 2 weeks notice

do not call your boss, send an email to him/her and copy your HR coordinator

you have 90 days to exercise your stock options, this is fact

make sure ALL your expenses are through frxpense and do not charge anything, they can screw you

when you meet a DM at the storage unit, have everything, sleeve for tablet, charger, printer, cords, even the amex which they will take at the time

best of luck, its hard but rewarding to realize you are worth more than this once great company turned hell hole

you would have to resign on saturday august 18th to make your 2 weeks notice takes you to september 1st, if you do this you will get health insurance for the month of Septmeber since frx pays the premiums the first day of the month, and technically if your last day is sept 1st you will be covered

you may want to resign on monday august 20th to ensure this happens

This thread is awesome. It is so amusing to see the amazingly positive feedback. Everyone seems so happy and eager to help someone who's claiming they are quitting. I think it's awesome, all the positive feedback and all, but when someone posts on the board for honest advice about coming on board to a company (not just Forest) the thread gets super ugly and everyone claims how horrible it is to be employeed by (insert Pharma company here). Just goes to show that the majority of the people on CP are disgruntled ex-employees griping and complaining about how horrible their lives were being a drug rep for (insert Pharma company here). Interesting contrast. By the way, I mean no negativity to the current thread. I actually think it is great that there is some sincerety here!

this company breeds negativity, those who have left can "wake up" and return to "normal"

if someones transition out of frx easier than me, then all the better

i hope icahn gets his way and sinks this port-a-pottie

If having your insurance is critical to you be careful with this. I put my two weeks in on Monday, March 20th of this year and April 1st fell on a Sunday. I was told by HR that my insurance would end on March 31st. When I questioned why I wouldn't get April insurance I was told that because the 1st wasn't a day in the field it didn't count. Wasn't a big deal for me as I went on my wife's insurance, they might have been in the wrong but wasnt worth the hassle to me to fight it. With Labor Day on that Monday you may want to wait until 8/21 or 8/22 to be sure two weeks carries you into September. Everything else you read on here is true, I got a full bonus, vacation time, Etc.

Has nothing to do with, "hacking it". Forest is neurotic, manages by threats, promotes idiots with unfounded egos. Went to P club at Forest and currently in P club in device now. Much easier now w/o the micromanagement and teammate drama. Smart, successful Forest reps. leave.

Yeah! Get out of here, we all love it here. Stop hating on this great place! Mwaha ha hah ha. I would love to meet the people that write this garbage. I bet they would never survive in a real sales role, guaranteed.

I'm sure they could get a ton of signatures though and role play on hell of a three product detail in a very realistic 7 minutes in front of a POA room with a hard ass DM playing the role of doctor in order to win a $5 Starbucks gift card!!! wooooooooooohoooooooo. BTW..sweet products. Real blockbusters. Bet you can't wait for those "5 digit B & C checks"

LOL....CNBC had 3 executives rank the top 3 pipelines in pharma for the next 10 years and Forest was number 2. Im sure you are probably very secure at Phizer (Lipitor and Viagara gone) or maybe Novartis ( Do they even have any products anymore)... so take a deep breath and start a new thread called : "Anyone know the hiring manager with Forest in My area?"

Stuck at Forest loser^^^^. Keep trying to justify your shitty "sales" "career" at the worst company in the industry....by a long shot.

If you quit, you will not get unemployment. I hope you have another job lined up because if you don't you won"t have any money coming in. I think it is probably better to be fired than to quit. But I TOTALLY understand you wanting to leave Forest. Forest is a terrible company and they treat their reps poorly.

If you quit the last two weeks of the month you get benefits through the end of the month. Vacation is paid out if you have any left. If it is at the end of the quarter you get full bonus in a check paid out when it is released. Cobra insurance is so not worth it unless you have a condition that needs to be covered so you can get your next company insurance to cover you.
