What happened to the old Novo?

I used to work there years ago. It had good people. Saw it grow. Slowly started becoming a cold company. I have been gone for a long time and haven't looked at CafePharma in years. Hopped on tonight to see what the latest was. It saddened my heart to see that it has gotten worse. Is it the whole industry, or is it NNPI? I dont know the answers but just know there are many good companies out there that care for their people.

Ummmm, how would you call 12 straight qtrs since you left with double digit growth and profit going down? Culture changes and evolves like society...some for the good, some for the bad, but the core...it's foundation is exactly the same.

Now maybe the person's manager/director/VP is the problem, but the company has gotten better in many areas and more transparent to it's employees in the US. IMHO. If you take your career and work for what it is, in other words, "it's what I do, not what I am." Then life is great at Novo.

Noyes, Turbiville, Coutorier, and the rest of the BMS rejects...that is what has happened to Novo.

What happened to the old Novo you ask? It grew up and became a multi-billion dollar company rather than the piece of shit it used to be. No one confuses Novo with Novartis like they did when you were here. I'm glad you enjoyed your time at Novo...I just wish you would have been better at your job. It wouldn't have made cleaning up the mess after the oldtimers ran away so hard. Glad you left--Novo is better now.

OP here. Glad to hear the company is doing so well. I was a little surprised to see how many of you are defending the company. That is good. Based on the other threads that I saw, it painted a different picture. I guess you are right, the core of the company is good, just some of the management is a challenge. One's job is what you make it. So to those who posted a respectable reply, I salute you. Best of luck and much continued success.

Get a life loser! #43 in Fortune top 100 companies to work for. Takeda and Novartis laying off 2,000 reps and we're expanding. This is the best company to work for!

Wow! In the Fortune Top 100 best companies to work for in 2011.

NNI was actually ranked #47, not #43. But, let's put things in a better perspective of being listed in the Top 100 by Fortune.

Guess who ranked #34? QuikTrip

Who ranked next after NNI at #48? Build-A-Bear Workshop

Still on your high horse? LMFAO

Guess who wasn't on the list: Lilly, Sanofi-Aventis, BMS, Pfizer, Takeda, etc, etc. See how that works?

You sing Novo's praises now, but watch and see when your ass ends up with and AE at you year end review or and ME when you damn well know you earned greater due to the new guidelines. Then we will see just how "green" NNI's grass really is. The company has changed dramatically over the past 5 years since their major expansion so watch your back you have a target on it...

I guess it is very hard for a company to retain a "family" atmosphere when it is expanding at such a colossal rate.

There is a gigantic amount of moaning on every company board on CP. NN's is relatively civilized.

The Fortune 100 isn't a measure of how good the field force is. It's a meaure of how good the company is to work for.

A lot of it is determined by the feedback the company receives from the E-Voice surveys.

We all know how honestly and candidly reps score these surverys out of fear of retaliation.

So, decide for yourself how the you rate the company.

If you're too much of a pussy to fill out an anonymous survey, that's a YOU problem.
