The real reason is that, for the most part, success came through cheating. Most of the successful reps had second and third jobs. Many of them have left or will do so once they get their bonus checks. They think they have weeded out people having second jobs, but I know for a fact they have not. So many of our reps on the eastern seaboard have a second job selling compounded pain creams from small compounding specialty pharmacies. This group needs to be disbanded all together. Our test provides value but not enough to justify a large sales organization specifically dedicated to it. Imagine if quest just had a field force promoting their CBC test...actually....imagine if quest had a sales force that promoted anything...padoom ching! But I digress...
