Here is what I think is going to happen:
specialty reps, commodity reps (Suture,trocars), barbed suture/cv reps and hernia- Here's the kicker... EVERYONE SELL DERMABOND AND PRINEO b/c Ethicon is getting destroyed in TSA!
The endo reps can't wait to sell some Vicryl! lol

I think we are going to have therapeutic reps:

GYN Rep: calls on all Gyns and everything they can use ie..energy, suture, dermabond, trochars, women's health gadgets...

general Surgery: energy, trochars, endo-mechanical, hernia...

on and on and on


OH by the way..everybody shares the same commission and PODS are created. We call on 7-10 hospitals at MOST

I could see this set up, but most customers feel there are too many Ethicon reps. How would this structure meet that need. Also, we keep hearing about our evolving customers "the buyer". In this set up we would have 5 reps with the same set up calling on the buyer. Nice thread, I'd like to hear some others' opinions
 






DM roll changes and has responsibility for all reps and all products- one contact for purchasing. Some Specialists would be trained to call on regional systems and large hospitals at a higher level - c-suite.
 






the focus for future customers is all about contracting. Now that there is a single group they will be able to bundle all products together and put it into a contract. This will push accounts to look at products that didn't make sense to them in the past. There will be a regional contract manager to do this
 






Good so lets say . I take just your Sleeve Echelon business and your harmonic business. Will that hurt the entire team or just the D%^&Head who thinks since he has been there because of contracts. Let me know because maybe I will only take take the stapler business and let the Thunderbeat guy take the energy so we can both kind of enjoy .
