What do you guys really think?

We are launching 2 products very soon. I think the depression product is just more spin doctor junk like bystolic and savella. Lots of generics to deal with and then factor in the poor tolerability especially nausia. On the other hand I think the COPD drug actually has merit. It will be useful. It will not be a wonder drug. It will find a place as the only additional treatment option in a horrid disease state. Like namenda. What do you all honestly think?

Lol, yeah, spelling nausea would be good. I completely disagree, I'd much rather have Viibryd. Psychs are much more likely to try a new med, plus the response to psych meds is so individual and most docs know the response odds go down for every med a patient fails or discontinues. They want to get it right ASAP. Depression is the MOST treatable chronic disease out there, and one of the most prevalent. Also, if there is little to no sexual dysfunction it's a BIG deal. Daliresp is an "unknown" , Viibryd is much more of a guarantee. So many commercial mdd patients have an add component that may be addressed by this moa, sign me up!

LOL...psychs do not want to cure MDD. Those patients are a gold mine. They are 5 minute med checks with a $40 copay and a $50 reimbursement.

Pristiq has practically no sexual side effects or other adverse events and works quite well. I don't see the psychs switching everyone to it. Plus it's less expensive than the other brandeds if you use their 50% off cards.

If Forest cheats again like they did with Lexapro then yes, you'll have a good launch with your new MDD drug, but don't count on it. Hopefully you get enough scripts to stay employed. Good luck.
