So, what exactly is a "medical device"?

Any hard goods, implants, things having to do with surgery, some cap equipment-- it's a broad category. There is also some gray area and overlap- example- some biologic injections may be categorized as a pharmaceutical, but some may be a medical device. Probably better to look up the FDA definition which would be the rule as far as billing and reimbursement go.
