well used to be market leader, but losing major accounts each day. hospitals are fed up, plus mgt decided to turn over majority of sales force. no product for extended period of time, then when we returned to market, we jacked up price. hospitals hate us.

$37.5 M YTD for 2013 is not that bad. puts it at about $70-80 M for full 2013. Tisseel is around $80-90 M, with total US fibrin sealant market size at $160-180 M

Poster above hit the nail on the head; Evicel is getting slammed primarily because the company refuses to lower the high price-tag for all 3 sizes. IMO, and clinical studies have shown, it is a stronger/better product than Tisseel, but again, since hospitals are being pinched, and J&J refuses to lower cost, sales are down, and hospitals are dropping the product.....
