Please.. serious advice only.

I;ve worked for 1 big pharma co. trained in 7 TA's
won National awards, great consecutive performance reviews
and marketshare.
I hv applied for several positions with Ventiv and never get called.
Now here is the one I really don;t get as when I apply to any pharma
position which is cns specialty I do get a phone interview + as I had that
position for 3 years.

I applied a wk ago for a Ventiv contract CNS specialty spot in area and no action.

Seriously, what am I doing wrong or what is Ventiv looking for ? (I do not put in a large salary request- always 60K regardless of position)

Thanks.

It is a employers market and sometime the recruiters have put the people in the interview slots without even looking at all the resumes. I applied to one and she told me that manager had chosen their interviewees and I found out that she had already filled the interview slots. Good luck. Chose the contract with care as well as the manager. You will be working for less with no loyalty. Inventiv has changed in the past 5 years and in my opinion not for the better!

Same here. I have tons of experience in CNS, CV, diabetes, as well as excellent training and product knowledge in these therapeutic areas. I have applied to numerous Ventiv positions, but never hear anything back. I also put in 60K salary expectation.

I'd like to know what they are looking for since they just posted a position here that I'd like to apply for.

as a former dm with ventiv--just because their is a posted position with ventiv, that does not mean their is a job--also, the recruiter might have people from other contracts that have finished up and she chose them before outsiders, and the other, the company the contract is for, might have set forth parameters they want followed in regards to people

might want a female for certain areas, male for another, it sucks but keep applying to everything ---start looking in another field--dont know if you realize the amount of people in the pharma gig who are looking for work--so for every job posted in that industry--they are getting 1000's of resumes

What happened to looking for the best/most qualified candidate? It is illegal to discriminate on sex, in case people have forgotten.

You are not doing anything wrong...just happens that 'job posting' you saw and replied to just got about 1500 replies, once sorted by computer filter, then maybe 20 resumes will survive and actually be reviewed with quick glance..then recruiter may turnover 10 to hiring manager who will have at least half dozen 'buddies" they have in mind to help out already...it is a buyers market that's all.
