What a way to save face!!

Heard the goof was for VISN 15 which would be handled out of Kansas City. The VA bid would be handled by the hospital group. BS is the hospital rep and she reports to JB in Dallas who then reports to DL in Burlington. No disrespect for any of the above, but as has been the case for years at Labcorp, too much work to do with too few resources to do them.

You can make the argument to have the local divisions handle the hospital business, but CJ (RMBD for Kansas City) most likely could not name a hospital in the KC territory, much less figure out how to bid a VA contract.

What is more concerning is the bid Quest just walked away with on the east coast. This was a six month contract worth about $36 million. So, annually, a contract worth twice the one referenced here. The contract was listed on the government website and turns out, Quest was the ONLY lab to bid. Maybe the east coast Labcorp divisions are so busy they decided to pass on the incremental business.

Here's your sign!

Has anyone come across a link to the actual complaint? If Labcorp filed a 92 page complaint with the Federal Claims Court, they probably listed more details, who did (or supposedly) what, how, etc.
