What A Difference A Day Makes...

Dallas has been HOT! In fact, the temps have been in triple digits for 40 days straight. The record 42 straight days, set in 1980, would be tied this Friday and eclipsed on Saturday if the temps continued to reach 100. Well, today the high temps were merely in the double digits so no new record. One day short of a tie, and two short of a new record.

No question about it, had the temps continued in triple digits, the climate goons would be convulsing about AGW. Instead, they'll have to settle for the simple reality: it is just SUMMER in North Texas.

My car said 100 degrees at about 6:00 P.M.

The difference between weather and climate is a measure of time. Weather is what conditions of the atmosphere are over a short period of time, and climate is how the atmosphere "behaves" over relatively long periods of time.

When we talk about climate change, we talk about changes in long-term averages of daily weather. Today, children always hear stories from their parents and grandparents about how snow was always piled up to their waists as they trudged off to school. Children today in most areas of the country haven't experienced those kinds of dreadful snow-packed winters, except for the Northeastern U.S. in January 2005. The change in recent winter snows indicate that the climate has changed since their parents were young.

If summers seem hotter lately, then the recent climate may have changed. In various parts of the world, some people have even noticed that springtime comes earlier now than it did 30 years ago. An earlier springtime is indicative of a possible change in the climate. Got it. I doubt it.
If you would end your argument there, we would have peace and agreement and harmony among all cohabitants of the environment on this issue.

Where you fall on your face is when you attempt to impute, baselessly, that man causes these changes. Especially when your leaders establish a trading house for goofy carbon credits that are an attempt to profit from the gullibility of the fools who drink the AGW koolaid. BTW, how's that carbon credit board of trade going these days. How's Al Bullshit-Bullshit-Bullshit Gore going these days.

Nice cut and paste job:

You do get credit for "Got it. I doubt it". I knew that was yours because you asked a question w/ a . instead of a ?.

That's why the majority of the ones who use to live on the poli board...have not returned....too embarrassed.

Not the case at all, Ms. Belle. You and your con friends can keep the Poli Board, the PG is much better. I am embarrassed for what most of you and others here on this board show up to throw up.
