What’s the turnover rate at Sun ?

I thought it’d calm down a bit but just saw more field and home office resignations.

I think Abhay is looking to lower cost via backfilling open positions with lower-quality talent, at a lower salary. You can pick up long-term unemployed folks from pharma and people from other industries on the cheap when their COBRA has run out.
Cost reduction is THE core strategy at Sun - but, they haven’t figured out it’s not sustainable. It’s short term. Simple as that.

It’s definitely all about cost here.

Americans are lower then cows at Sun. 66% of home office is from Mumbai. There are no promotional opportunities except what the Indians don’t want. Forget about it.

A promotion means more money. And that ain’t gonna happen.

The basic mindset here is that you are PRIVILEGED to work FOR sun, and that there are 1,000 people in line to take your place.

Regardless, it’s still a shit show.

to answer the question, the turnover rate the past 2 years is about 40-50%. Many territories are on their third rep

Not necessarily true. Some areas are generating a decent volume, especially if you factor in the RXC show, recalls, samples, and overall poor leadership. That ain’t easy, so there has to be at least some decent reps here. Not for long though. And if MH and AG think they can get the same result with inexperienced kids I’ll enjoy watching how that plays out. It takes years of experience to put lipstick on a pig.

Oh no child, the flood gates to the outside world are opening wider not closing. The next 60 days will bring a variety of resignations. That should pretty well do it for the people who actually understand the industry. The boys club will face the same fate as the bankrupt companies they left. All hail Sunology and it’s pillars of satanic worship.

I’m miffed that people talk of ‘mass exodus’, and that ‘kids’, young reps, can’t navigate the pharma world.

You’re missing AG’s points:
- you are viewed as dispensable, because you are.
- turnover, to some degree is a result of fear. He wants to be feared. But in reality here, no one fears him, it’s rather no one respects him.
- turnover means he can hire cheaper labor. Simple as that.
- reps (and others) are view as un/necessary overhead. The goal is to keep it to an absolute minimum. Remember, the Sun’s core is all about cost saving.

When was the first/last/only time you heard some of from him that was strategic, insightful, positive or motivating?

Exactly.

I emailed my suggestions and I received a personal response from AG! It said WTH are you looking at CP? It also said you are fired. So I responded with where to send my final pay. It is AbhayCanSuckMyHose@FDAInformant.com

GTFO - it’s really sad that HR has to post on Cafepharma
It goes to show they’re worried.
