Who's in charge of this lame ass initiative? MM needs to move to SD before she rolls out these idiotic ideas. Did she ever ask any reps/lab folks about the needs of our doctors to get an idea of what they're looking for (i.e. photomicrographs, spira brushes, pathologists/cytotechs that read your slides?) Guess not. We'll continue to have horrible results with overworked techs and compromised samples. We've been waiting for her to move down to SD and actually see this snuffaluffagus but she's too busy watching Sesame Street in AZ. Get a clue MM you suck as a leader and hide behind cacti. We know you're scared to move down here because all of us in SD know your lack of leadership will shine.
 






I heard that conference call was rather interesting. The Seattle folks miss the good ol' days. Chick sounds like a tyrant. Good luck I'm about to get my offer and was perusing CF. Soooo glad to get away from this place.

I understand you've had horrible experiences in the past and other labs give you what you need (nice colored reports, zero balance bills, pathologists that actually READ your slides) your but we're desperate now. We may miss a cancer or two but who's counting? Our techs are inexperienced, overworked, underpaid and don't give a damn about the slides they read...What do you think?" Nice try MM and your little circus of clowns.
 






...by the way apparently LCA just paid for $16 million for the Florida women who was misdiagnosed. Would you like Thin Prep or Sure Path? I work here and wouldn't trust techs to look my pap. Paths just sign off. Cutting corners on every angle will sink this ship. Perfect timing for your womens health initiative. Lol.
 


















Now they have dusted off the old focal point . The lab gets to charge extra for the reading of the slide by Focal Point and that has to be the reason. Molecular testing is about to rule the day. Don't waste time explaining the shortcomings of the automated methodologies because no one of any consequence cares. The trend is to automate whenever possible and eliminate labor where ever possible. There are few fields immune from this inevitability. I suggest cytotechnologists wise up and prepare to make the change.

Cytotech's the writing is on the wall. Re-train, like yesterday. Most of the cytology schools have closed and there is not much reason for the rest to keeps their doors open. The field is on life support.

What ever came of the fat lady in polyester with bad hair cut that ran part of the accounts team? Throw her in with the HR witch and you have a stew of ugly and mean. The entire Seattle operation is a shit show of futility.

Whoa. I hear that UC Davis, which is located in northern CA right outside Sacramento is preparing to open a new school of cytotechnology.
 






I heard that the upper management hasn't done a damn since they took over this year. Cutting costs is poking holes and the ship is sinking fast. Clueless and classless. Let the blame game begin.
