Exactly what qualifications does it take to be a member of management at Hospira? Everyone that I have came into contact with really has no clue on how to operate a business unit, much less make decisions for a 2.5 billion dollar company. Every product launch is incomplete, sales aids are contstantly out of stock, district managers have no authority, you never hear from senior management on the state of the business, and they never have a plan until it is too late.
Case in point: product launches never have the marketing materials for the reps to sell the products, the incentive plans are rolled out for the launch weeks after the launch.
Case in point: On the alternate site side of the company, the Baxter 6060 recall was announced early 2006, so the geniuses that run that division came out with the "best pump pricing" ever in late August. Way to stay on top of things guys. Needless to say, it was so much of a success that the out of 45 reps, the #10 rep in the game on contest had 9 pumps with the "best pump pricing ever".
Those are just a couple of examples of many. Pleaese feel free to share your own experiences.
