125 folks laid off and10% reduction in salary if you are still on. It isn't going to get better from here is it?
Praying for all the talented people who are out of a job. Hoping for recovery. This company does right by its people and ethics. It’s a very sad time.
This person doesn’t have the slightest clue. Speculation from competing labs as to “why” is so far off. Idiots. They may have done right by their employees, but they did wrong for the industry by giving away testing at a below cost price, now they are paying the piper. Think about, Invitae has been around for several years, but no "buyers", why? because bigger labs saw no value in their business model.
^^what a disgusting troll. Bitter much.at the end of the day, you gave away testing at below cost of goods, and hired way to many people. It's simple math, thanks for ruining the industry for the last 8 years. In the meantime, I'll enjoy all the whining and lamenting on Linkedin from your former employees. "Oh, the wonderful journey we've been on" ? You've all been on a wonderful journey with your heads up your _ss, not having any idea this was going to happen
^^truth hurts, huh?^^what a disgusting troll. Bitter much.
Quote from one Invitae employee:
"This is an especially hard week at Invitae, as the company has made the incredibly difficult decision to operationally realign the business due to changing market conditions. Regrettably, a significant number of my talented teammates have been impacted in this process. Saying goodbye to so many dedicated, hardworking colleagues and friends is heartbreaking. Any one of them would be an incredible addition to your team. If you are hiring, I would encourage you to search for those that have worked at Invitae and who have activated the Open To Work banner on their LinkedIn profile."
Didn't realize that consistently losing $200 million per year was a changing market condition. Talk about denial, you folks need to get your heads out of your _sses
