Happy Football Everybody! This year I have decided to do the Pick Em a little different and hope you will agree to make things a little easier for the ones who want to play. How about we all just pick the major match-ups? No one really wants to brag about picking Central Western Tech Vs. Southern Eastern State.

RULES: I have attached and posted the USA Today Odds for these three games and chose the "average," of all of the different odds making services that USA Today endorses.

USA TODAY LINK: sportsdirect.usatoday.com/odds/usatoday/ncaaf.aspx

WEEK 1 Major Match-Ups:

1. BYU Vs. Ole Miss (BYU+1)

2. LSU Vs. Oregon (Oregon -4)

3. Boise State Vs. Georgia (Boise State +3)

WEEK 1 Note: Not many big match-ups this week. Please let me know if you have any advice but please let us keep this as simple as we possibly can for everyone involved. Remember this is only for fun and bragging rights each week. GOOD LUCK!

BAMABOY WEEK 1 PICKS:

1. OLE MISS AKA: "OLE SIS" or "OLE PISS"
2. LSU
3. Georgia

I know I am taking a big risk by picking the SEC to win outright but I think each team is prepared. I think LSU will have a dominant defense but I hope the offense can get it together after the Jordan Jefferson controversy...I hope the Dogs hike a leg on Boise State..Too bad this is the last time we will see Boise in a Major Match Up until they play TCU....Boise State AKA "CUPCAKE U"

Bumping Thread to be #1 so you fuckers will make your picks...

Bronco Boy here.

Looks like it's just me and you, Bama.

I am going to go completely opposite from your picks. Not to spite you - I just think you got it backwards. We'll see how it plays out.

1. BYU

2. Oregon

3. Boise State

Let me tell you something after watching the garbage that is Kentucky last night I would call them Cupcake U. There is not a single conference in all of D1 where UK would win out and be the top team! The top of the SEC is great the bottom and the middle is a joke and highly overrated! You can thank your top 3-4 great teams for carrying the conference along with the marketing machine of ESPN and CBS for all the “toughest conference” BS. UGA, S Carolina, Miss State, Ole’ Miss Ark, UT, and Vandy, would all be mediocre teams in the Big 10, Big 12, ACC, and Pac 12.

Remember UK is in the SEC because of great basketball. I think you are really underestimating Miss State and Arkansas this year. They are usually middle of the pack SEC teams each year but Dan Mullen ( X 2 National Championship Former University of Florida Offensive Coordinator) is the Miss State coach now and they are not a push over this year. They might beat Auburn at Auburn next weekend. Arkansas is also not as mediocre this year. I think it just depends on the year which SEC teams are dominate.

So if the SEC is not the toughest conference in NCAA Football what conference is? I admit that I am an Alabama/SEC Homer but at this time I don't see another conference as competitive.

So let's look at it by conference:

1. ACC- Other than FSU and Virginia Tech? Who have they got?
2. Big 12- Texas & Oklahoma (Texas A&M are going to the SEC)

Big 10 & PAC 10 are the two closest conferences but here is the rub:

Big 10: Traditional Powerhouses
1. Ohio State (Dealing with NCAA Sanctions and Probation)
2. Michigan (Rebuilding)

Note: Adding Nebraska was awesome and Wisconsin is a very good team this year. Penn State and Iowa usually have fairly solid teams. The addition of the Big 10 Championship Game is brilliant!

PAC 12:
1. USC (Dealing with NCAA Sanctions and Probation-Thanks Reggie Bush)
2. Oregon-Very strong team this year. They will be dealing with the NCAA concerning the Street Agent For Hire issues.
3. UCLA- What the hell has happened to UCLA? Should be a good team..
4. Stanford- Damn good team this year.

SEC Top Teams 2011:

1. LSU
2. Alabama
3. Arkansas (Will Be Good Team This Year) Petrino has cleaned up after Houston Nutt...
4. Florida (Will make a come back this season) Come on it's Florida, best high school recruits in the country..
5. South Carolina (Won SEC East Last Year) Admit it, Spurrier can Coach..
6. Auburn (Won National Championship Last Year)

SEC Mediocre Teams:

1. Georgia
2. Tennessee
3. Miss State (Will be improved this year)

SEC Bottom Feeders:

1. Vanderbilt
2. Kentucky
3. Ole Miss

3. UGA

SEC all the way, the one I am not confident in is Ole Miss.

Well it looks like Bronco Boy beat Fucktard, Pale Horse and I this evening. Ole Miss shit the bed and Georgia did not show up. At least LSU put a beat down on Oregon and made it respectable for the SEC. Remember Oregon was favored to win.

Where is Hairy? Looks like the new Ohio State Coach (Coach Fickle) did well but remember it was Akron. Just like Bama beating Kent State. It was Kent State..

Bronco Boy here.

BYU - Ole Miss was a squeaker and could have easily gone either way. Ole Miss has a good team.

Oregon is not the same team as it was last year. Not nearly as strong. I was totally suprised by the way LSU manhandled them. I don't think Oregon will finish in the top 20. I expect them to get beat by at least a couple Pac-12 teams.

I am beaming with pride over my Broncos. As I knew, they are for real. No one can doubt that now. That is not to say they won't get beat this year. But they are a small conference team that could hold their own against any NCAA team.

Boise State is "4 Real." Like I have said when the conferences expand again Boise will get multiple invites. The first domino is about to fall with Texas A&M leaving the Big 12 for the SEC. Oklahoma is also considering leaving the Big 12 but I seriously don't think they will.

Concerning Ole Miss-Houston Nutt really needs to be shown the door. I can't believe Ole Miss actually hired Nutt. Nutt is constantly trying to negotiate a better deal or contract extension instead of doing his job. Oh yeah and then there is that story about him "sexting" a local tv news reporter in when he was the head coach of Arkansas. Ole Miss is a beautiful school with so many hot southern belles they red shirt miss americas there. It is kind of strange that a school in rural Mississippi has so many hot women?

What did y'all think of Muschamp, Fat Charlie and the Gators last night? So happy that Brantley has the offensive plan that will benefit him and the W column. Rainey and Demps looked good, and our defense showed up.

Getting a little bit optimistic for our season after last night...but hey, it was FAU.

Muschamp has been a winner everywhere he has been a defensive coordinator so I think he is and will be a great head coach at Florida. Fat Ass Charlie also makes a good Offensive Coordinator (it is gross to watch him sweat profusely on the sidelines in The Swamp).

Next week Florida has UAB (The Blazers! Their slogan is "You could be the spark that starts the Blaze!) so I don't think we will see much. Tennessee should be more of an interesting match up but Florida will not really be tested until Alabama comes to town. I am actually really worried about that game because the previous week Alabama plays Arkansas and The Swamp is a tough place to play.

Auburn looked like shit on Saturday. I guess they could not afford to buy anyone this year?

I was "googling" pick ems and this thread came up so I decided to check it out...

As a UF graduate and huge UF homer I laughed a little at your "worries" going into the UF v Bama game... I know hindsight is 20/20, but it makes me laugh to read that and know the outcome. Cheers-

Jake

Why did some ass hat gator fan have to bump a thread from a year ago?

Excuse me? Jake is indeed an asshat - he can't read the dates on threads, but not ALL Gators are asshats.

I am, in fact, an assclown.

It would be my RP name but some other dumb fucker took it and never used it properly.
