Where are all those visionary graduates from the Sidney Taurel Leadership Center that were going to make us the Pharmaceutical Company of the Decade? Add to that the hundreds that have graduated from Six Sigma training. Building 74 should be overflowing with top notch business leaders ready to lead us into battle against our adversaries. Instead we have a bunch of self-centered academics that can't handle real world situations. The only way we will get a real leader is if Lilly is sold and the new owner cleans house. John can't lead us out of a wet paper bag.
"If you're wondering why/ all the FIPNet of life eludes you/ and shareholders are rude and cruel to you/ I'll tell you why....YOU JUST HAVEN'T EARNED IT YET LILLIE...YOU JUST HAVEN'T EARNED IT YET NOW...YOU JUST HAVEN'T EARNED IT YET LILLIE...AND YOU MUST SUFFER AND CRY, for slightly longer"£ord TóûrHéLL
What kind of a dumbshit needs a "leader" in pharma? You work in a dying business model Sally, you could stick Genghis Khan at the helm and it would be the same shit. Why anyone would think that some sort of managerial change is going to make up for the fact that the pharma business model died in 1998 is beyond comprehension.
Fear Not! I just saw 100 copies of "In Search of Excellence" and "High Five! - The Magic of Working Together" sitting on a loading skid. The turn around is on its way!

Hey you can do even better than that. Go to Lilly net and look at the business tools available, even free Harvard Business School lessons, and lessons from miraculously successful third world business leaders. Sadly, you won't find much medical knowledge on tap. That might help us even more than ipads. Well, live and learn --- on your own time.
