WC maternity leave

I'm 6 months with company and was just curious about the FMLA leave and if the give extensions when the 12 weeks is up. Some companies offer extra time off and was wondering if they do same. Serious answers only please.

I completely understand why you would not ask your manager! Yes you have 12 weeks of fmla and no, they do not have a company policy to extend it for "bonding time" as some companies do. BUT - check into your states policy. It actually trumps WCRX. If you are in CA you can get 6 months as one of my co-workers was able to finagle. Good luck! Also, call HR directly. They are "suppose" to keep it confidential.

I have heard on numerous occations that WC lets ppl go after you leave on ur materninty leave or after you come back . Do you know anything about that?
you get 6 weeks paid and the other 6 not paid .

You have to be able to prove who the father is. WC requires a DNA test and marriage license. Too many half breeds form national meeting hook ups. Former VP of sales, Dave Dumbaski sired 3 half breeds himself. That is why the policy was put in place.

I worked for WC for 5 years. I had a great time taking my friends and family out to the best places to eat. It was fun watching my numbers go up every time I gave a advocate doc a check for 750.00. But being treated like a piece of garbage from a moron manager that I would never give the time of day to in my normal real life wore me out. I appreciate all the good times I had at WC the bonuses the stock options the match for the 401k and the company car and expense account. I have to say I moved on to a great company about 3 years ago and couldn't be happier working for a great company that treats you like a professional and never threatens your job if you don't get your numbers up. There is life outside of WC and you can get hired at other Pharma companies, labs, medical device... All you have to do is make that leap you cream puffs!!!! Just do it for your sanity. I saw a WC rep today in an office dropping samples off waiting for that dreaded signature from the doc it brought back memories. Thank god I left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ABout a year ago WC fired the rep in Atlanta for her numbers....She was on maternity leave for all but 2 weeks during that quarter. I was so glad to hear that she got another job. You might want to think hard about getting prego unless you want to be a stay at home mom.
